Elly

Elly is a portrait of a young woman in Watercolours from 2016.

Someone asked me once why I paint only female faces. I haven't realised that until that moment. When this person asked me that, I didn't even think. I immediately replied: female face has much more complex expressions because women are naturally drawn to overthinking and anticipating. I believe the female face says not only a story but an intersect of stories. And I look and try to pull out every single story, with every brush stroke I apply on paper.
